Wabash Valley on co-op 100 list

National Cooperative Bank logoJust how large is Wabash Valley Power? Every year, National Cooperative Bank issues its list of the nation’s largest cooperative businesses. With revenues of $750 million, Wabash Valley is number 69. The largest G&T on the list is Basin Electric, from North Dakota, at #29 and $1.54 billion.  Hoosier Energy rolls in at #80, with $653 million in revenues.

The top 100 co-ops accounted for a total of $193.8 billion in revenues. Agricultural cooperatives CHS and Land O’Lakes top the list, with combined revenues of more than $36 billion. In fact, nine of the top ten co-ops serve either the agricultural or retail grocery industries, providing a reminder of the importance of food to the nation’s economy.
